19 Year Old Female Charged with Murder After Stabbing Parents During Easter Over Religious Differences

A 19-year-old in Washington state is accused of stabbing her parents on Easter over their religious differences.

According to court records, McKenzy Hafer stabbed her dad in the stomach and tried to cut her mom’s throat.

When officers arrived at their home, Hafer was outside in the front yard, where she was taken into custody.

According to documents, officers learned the fight had started after Hafer’s father told her, “Happy resurrection day,” to which she responded that she doesn’t believe in God.

Hafer then reportedly grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed her father in the stomach. Her mother started yelling, and Hafer responded by cutting her throat, documents say.

She is facing attempted murder charges.
